Top pick: #3 (SIR EDGAR) - As you would expect in a 5-furlong dirt sprint at this level there's lots of speed signed-on, but this 6-year-old is the fastest of all from the gate. Stakes place last summer, he's been tiring facing tougher at Gulfstream on the grass and moves back to the main-track this afternoon. The choice in a quality field for this level.
2nd pick: #6 (Reign of Kings) - He dead-heated here on Jan. 19 racing for $16K going 5.5 furlongs in his second start back off an 8 1/2 month vacation. Effort was the best last race "figure" wise of these, and if he holds his form off the barn change, he'll be tough.
3rd pick: #7 (Styner) - Gelding has finished second in his last pair and they came fresh off a claim by trainer Gerald Bennett. There's lots of speed for him to stalk and he's a threat turning for home.
