Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #8 (NEVER FORGET) (4-1) - A home-bred daughter of 'War Front,' she ships back from Gulfstream where she tired after having some traffic issues to check in a distant 4th at this distance on the dirt April 2. She had finished 2nd here sprinting on the dirt March 7 and is racing on the grass for the first time int his one. Bred for the surface switch, I think she has a good shot at a square price.
2nd pick: #1 (Tilsa) (9-2) - One of three well-bred fillies making their debuts, this home-bred by 'Flatter' has been in steady training here since mid-March. From a very under-rated barn (Jon Thomas), he's gone 42-14-7-5 (33%) at this meet, and has had seven winners from 35 starters (20%) debuting at a mile or longer since Jan. 1 of 2019.
3rd pick: #4 (Stolen Holiday) (7-2) - This filly by 'War Front' sold for $750,000 as a yearling back in Sept. of 2018. In steady training at the Payson Park Center, she debuts for 'Hall of Famer' Shug McGaughey.
4th pick: #9 (Lipstikliesnlovers) (3-1) - Blinkers go on this daughter of 'American Pharoah' following a solid 3rd place finish here at this level going a mile March 27. Home-bred had raced evenly in a pair at Gulfstream prior to her latest and must be left in the mix.
