Top pick: #5 (FOR THE AGES) (8-5) - He just missed here at this level and distance on Jan. 6. Beaten a nose that afternoon, trainer Graham Motion has worked him twice and this $210K gelding by "Rock Hard Ten" is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #1 (Awed) (5-2) - Home-bred by "El Prado" raced far back early on Jan. 25 and closed very fast to finish third of six, beaten 3 1/2 lengths. Race was his first in 15 months and he's worked fast since. Nice to see him brought back on short notice and he's the main danger.
3rd pick: #3 (Guard Duty) (3-1) - Colt has finished behind "For the Ages" the two times they met and last out he was just able to hold off "Awed" for the place spot. He's improved a lot since switching to the grass and should be competitive again this afternoon.
4th pick: #6 (Memorys N Dreams) (8-1) - Gelding made up some ground last out but was behind both "Awed" and "Guard Duty" at the finish. A small slice is his ceiling.
