Top pick: #4 (JABULANI) (2-1) - Speed/stalker ships from Gulfstream where he raced evenly on the grass for a $30K tag on Jan. 10. Race was his first since Nov. 17 and trainer Rick Slomkowski will drop him down to the price of his last win. Gelding has a pair of sharp local works heading into this and is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #1 (Truly Memorable) (3-1) - Clearly the main speed, he drops down in price and draws the inside post. There's little other pace signed on and that makes him a serious win candidate.
3rd pick: #8 (El Season) (7-2) - He raced wide and rallied to finish fourth here at this level last out. He had a tough outside post that day and looks set for a big effort this afternoon.
4th pick: #7 (Will Run for Beer) (8-1) - He's done little in three previous grass starts, but gelding is now in career best form and trainer Bill Downing decides it's time to let him race on the turf again. Dangerous at a square price.
