Top pick: #1 (KIMS REWARD) - Improving colt comes off a career best when he rallied from close range to finish second, beaten less than a length racing here at this level going 7 furlongs April 13th. He's come back with a fine half-mile breeze on the April 21st and draws the rail. 3-year-old son of "Good Reward" meets a mostly lightly-raced field and he'll be tough if he repeats his last "figure."
2nd pick: #3 (Steel Man) - Nice debut saw him set a solid pace in a two-turn grass race and stay on gamely to finish third after he began to tire in mid-stretch. He cost $125K and trainer Freddie Hyatt brings him back quickly, switches him to the dirt, and shorten him up in distance.
3rd pick: #2 (Big Brook) - Trainer Bill Phipps has been on a roll the past several weeks and he'll send this debuting son of "Montbrook" out off of some serious looking drills. Colt had a near bullet half-mile breeze April 7th, and a fine 5 furlong gate drill on the April 21st. The "red hot" Dan Centeno is aboard.
