Top pick: #5 (ELUSIVE ECHO) (3-1) - Home-bred by "Elusive Quality" has been sharp in both starts since dropping down to this level and last out was beaten a 1/2 length while being involved in a late "bumping" incident. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #7 (Ten Sweet Kisses) (2-1) - From the barn of leading trainer Jamie Ness, this filly was a bit "keyed up" before her debut, but rallied to finish fourth when racing at this tag on Jan. 2. Last out she was more relaxed and set the pace before weakening very late to finish second, a 1/2 in fron of "Echo." Obvious contender.
3rd pick: #8 (West Pointer) (5-2) - Dropped into a claimer and with lasix added last out she finished a determined pace-setting second at this level on Jan. 18. Must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #3 (Egg Hunt) (8-1) - Mare has only raced twice and she's a 5-year-old, so there are some issues. However, trainer Mark Casse doesn't keep any that can't run and this Farish home-bred raced evenly on Jan. 18 at gulfstream facing a bit tougher. She's stringing starts together and is improving.
