Top pick: #7 (WIN EXCHANGE) (2-1) - The probable favorite, he's one of two maidens entered by trainer Horatio Barbaran and the pair race uncoupled. Home bred has gone 3-0-1-1 since returning from an 11-month layoff in early January and speed/stalker gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #3 (He's a Miracle) (10-1) - Stalker tired after pressing the pace at this claiming price going 8.5-furlongs on Feb. 22. He had a tough outside post and a wide trip before "steading" in mid-stretch. Think he's a win candidate in this weak field.
3rd pick: #5 (Nano Tech) (5-1) - Colt by "Roman Ruler" has finished fourth in two straight at this tag. It's a plus that he's going a bit farther for this attempt and a big plus that leading rider Gallardo is back aboard for the fourth straight time.
4th pick: #4 (Arty's Cigar) (3-1) - Longshot raced evenly here facing slightly tougher on Jan. 25. It was only his second start and came off a 3 1/2 month layoff. Four-year-old had a half-mile work on Feb. 14 and will be making back-to-back starts for the first time.
