Top pick: #8 (MORADOR LLERS) - Veteran Argentine-bred is (5-1-3-1) here this winter and last out he lost by a head after being involved in a race long duel. Eight-year-old had the rail that afternoon and had to be sent hard from the "get go". Moves off the inside, races for the leading trainer at this meet (Jamie Ness), and is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #6 (Royal Nemesis) - Gelding has raced himself back into shape following a 4 1/2 month break late in 2011. He's (4-1-2-1) on this surface since Jan. 1 and he brings a speed/stalking style to the contest. Win candidate.
3rd pick: #9 (Honest Paul) - Moves up to try a bit tougher, though at the same $5K tag that he won at racing here on March 1st. One-run type cuts back a furlong, but that shouldn't keep him from being competitive again in this spot.
