Top pick: #10 (BRETHREN) - Undefeated half-brother to last year's Kentucky Derby (G1) winner "Super Saver" broke his maiden in impressive fashion last fall at Belmont, then won an allowance going a one turn mile at Churchill 6 weeks later in his first facing winners. Son of "Distorted Humor" was an easy winner here in the Sam B. Davis stakes a month ago in his seasonal debut and first going around two-turns. Training fast since and he proved last out that an outside post is just fine with him. Takes this with a repeat of that effort.
2nd pick: #7 (Free Entry) - He finished fourth when debuting at Saratoga last August and the winner of that one was last year's 2-year-old champ "Uncle Mo". He's won both his subsequent starts following a 5 month break, and in the latest, he defeated a nice field in an allowance at Gulfstream going a mile. Working fast since and a big danger to the top pick.
3rd pick: #5 (Too Experience) - His only bad race came from a tough outside post at Calder in a stakes in late Sept. Take that one away and his record is (6-5-1-0) including a second-place finish last out to "Brethren" in the Sam Davis Stakes here. Training fast for this and he'll contend again this afternoon.
