Top pick: #10 (BRETHREN) - The probable favorite has won both his starts and is a half-brother to "Kentucky Derby"(G1) winner Super Saver. Working nicely for his first start since late November and he has enough speed to not let this outside post hurt his chances. In the barn of Todd Pletcher, and he's won this important stake before.
2nd pick: #7 (Beamer) - Lightly raced colt was impressive in a maiden win here on Dec.30th, then finished a distant 3rd at Gulfstream on a sloppy track 3 weeks ago in his first facing winners. Working fast at Palm Meadows for this and think he'll run well at a nice price.
3rd pick: #3 (Washington's Rules) - Recent maiden winner at Gulfstream has talent and a strong closing kick. Grey gelding by "Roman Ruler" has a bullet work since his win and both his trainer (Ken McPeek)and jockey (Kent Desormeaux) know a thing about winning big races.
4th pick: #2 (Adulare ) - Nicely bred and improving this son of "Flatter" broke his maiden at Calder in impressive fashion Jan. 2nd and has been training fast at Palm Meadows since. This is a big step up but he probably has more improving in him.
