Top pick: #7 (ZEPHYR BAY) (8-5) - The probable favorite, he's been competitive in three of four starts at this meet and is dropping back down in class a bit. Stalker draws a nice outside post at this 6.5-furlong distance and is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #2 (You Can't Stop Me) (7-2) - Dangerous rival, he finished second here at this tag going 5.5-furlongs on Jan. 10. It was his first off a three month layoff and best overall to date. Gelding tired in his follow up race and looks set to rebound with a big effort.
3rd pick: #5 (Island Dude) (10-1) - I believe he's the main speed in today's opener. Home bred is running third back from a 4 1/2 month layoff and showed improvement in his latest. Can factor at a big price with another step forward.
4th pick: #6 (Mister Hill) (8-1) - He had no chance in his debut here Jan. 24 when he had to check soon after the start. His rider rushed him up to chase the pace, but Fla. bred tired badly from the effort. Well bred gelding took a bit of betting action that afternoon and should run much better with a trouble free getaway.
