Top pick: #4 (BURLEY'S GOLD) (5-2) - He's finished second in two of three starts at this meet and all have come at this level. Speed/stalker just failed last out after setting a fast and pressured pace and is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #3 (Dubai Distinction) (3-1) - He's also finished second in two of three at this meet and rallied last out to be beaten a length on Jan. 26. Veteran is back in shape following a two month layoff and is a stretch threat.
3rd pick: #1 (Jaranero) (7-2) - Hard-hitting speed/stalker tired badly here at this level on Jan. 13, but it was his first off a seven week freshening and first off a claim by a low-percentage barn. Claimed that day by Lloyd Lockhart he brings him back a month later with a bullet 3-furlong breeze six days ago.
4th pick: #2 (Extra Exclusive) (4-1) - Veteran rallied to finish third, less than a length back of "Dubai" last out in his first race in 12 1/2 months. 11-yera-old always brings his best and should move forward a bit in his second off the long break.
