(# 2 ) GRAND MINSTREL - Excellent well-bet debut run which saw him strike the gate at the start, rush up into the pace set by eventual winner Maimonides (who won by 11 1/2 lengths) then tired late from his efforts. Trainer Jimmy Jerkens adds Lasix today, and move by the barn is a very strong one (8 for last 24). Rail may prove a bit tricky, but I think he'll overcome it.

(# 9) Cowboy Cal - Stonerside homebred's works are just too good to ignore. Pletcher-trained colt has been rumored to be a runner for some time now. Outside posts have been faring well in sprints, and don't think that it will pose a problem. Lasix is part of the debut package.

(# 5) He's Solid Gold - Zito has shown off a few impressive two-year-olds at this meet, and this son of Seeking the Gold has several very impressive works to his credit.

(# 3) Mythical Pegasus - Was well-backed at the windows in initial Spa and appearance. Colt was involved in a swift/contested pace scenario before tiring late to finish second. Speed is always a positive sign.
