Top pick: #9 (WILDCAT LILY) (6-1) - Very consistent filly was beaten a 1/2 length in the "Prioress" stakes (G1) on this surface going 6 furlongs on July 27th. The race was her first outside of Florida and proved that she belongs with the best of her division. She's worked fast since, draws a nice outside post, and I like her chances.
nd pick: #6 (Lighthouse Bay) (4-1) - Lightly-raced filly by "Speightstown" rallied to defeat "Lily" by a 1/2 length here on July 27th and that career best came off a seven week freshening. She's gone 7-4-1-1 overall and had a poor start in her only sub-par appearance. Win candidate.
rd pick: #7 (Ju Ju Eyeballs) (12-1) - Maryland-bred has won five straight since being claimed by Jay Servis and comes off a pair of stakes wins at Monmouth, one each on dirt and turf. She enters off a career best on Jult 21st and will need to do even better in her first 'graded" stakes attempt.
th pick: #8 (My Happy Face) (3-1) - Consistent (7-3-4-0) filly is from the barn of Chad Brown and will be cutting back in distance after finishing a pace-setting second here going 9 furlongs on July 20th to the rapidly improving "Princess of Sylmar." Working nicely since, she's in shape and a threat.
th pick: #5 (Sweet Lulu) (5-2) - California invader has "toyed" with her opposition in three stgraight wins on the coast when racing on "poly" surfaces. She takes a big step up in class and will be racing on conventional dirt for the first time.
