2nd pick: #6 (Nonna Madeline) (4-1) - As mentioned above, she was a bit over a length in front of 'Golden Award' here at this trip Aug. 5, and this speed/stalker from the Pletcher barn enters in career-best form. A win candidate.
3rd pick: #3 (Letruska) (7-2) - She appears to be the main speed, and that's always a dangerous thing in these two-turn contests where the majority are mostly one-run types. She tired here in the G1 Ballerina Stakes going seven furlongs, but did so after pressing extremely fast fractions. She must be left in the win mix.
4th pick: #4 (Our Super Freak) (10-1) - A busy 4yo, she makes her NYRA debut after a very successful career on the mid-Atlantic circuit. She's gone 19-4-7-4 with earnings of just under $300K. This daughter of 'Mineshaft' has a stalking style and is capable of getting a share at a big price.
