Top pick: #6 (WAVELL AVENUE) (4-1) - Stalking filly has won four of seven racing on dirt and is shipping back from Woodbine. Four-year-old checked in a 'troubled' third in a $100K stakes last out in Canada going 7-furlongs on the grass. She looked great when winning her previous dirt start at Belmont and has been working fast here since. Can take this turning for home.
nd pick: #11 (Sugar Shock) (20-1) - Long shot has sharp early speed and draws a nice outside post to use it from. Daughter of 'Candy Ride' looked to have a bright future during the first half of 2014, but hasn't yet returned to that form following a seven month layoff. Has a shot at a big price for trainer Brad Cox (two for four) at the meet.
rd pick: #3 (Stonetastic) (3-1) - Speed is her game and she's training fast for her first start since late Dec. at Santa Anita. Grey filly won the G2 Prioress Stakes here last year going 6-furlongs and earned by far a career best figure. A strong win candidate if ready.
th pick: #9 (You Bought Her) (8-1) - Mare is making her east coast debut after going 13-4-3-2 on the dirt out of town. She's a specialist at this 7-furlong trip (8-4-2-0) and strong finisher should get a fast and/or contested pace to close into.
th pick: #7 (Expression) (15-1) - Not a win candidate, but old timer may pass enough to get a minor award at a big price.
