Top pick: #6 (AL KHALI) - Scratched yesterday out of the "Kent Stakes"(G2) at Delaware to await this spot. Although winless on the grass (3-0-1-1), he's clearly much better on the infield and has run strong in all three attempts on it. Can take this contentious race from just off the lead.
2nd pick: #5 (Sal the Barber) - Lightly raced (5-2-1-2), talented, improving, and in a winning turf barn (Chris Clement). Up-close style fits nicely here and he has a strong effort over this surface last out at this distance. Win threat.
3rd pick: #7 (Lime Rickey) - Strong finishing punch is his style and this nine-furlong trip will pose no problem to him. A contested pace would aid his style and would make him a win candidate.
