Top pick: #4 (FOREVER TOGETHER) - The "Champ" enters this off a solid second-place finish at Hollywood Park in the Gamely (G1) a race where the in-shape "Tuscan Evening" once again had it her own way on the top end. Veteran got up in the final stride last year to win this event and did so the previous year with another furious late rally. Mare by "Belong to Me" has a very sharp drill here 5 days ago and she's the horse to beat (but reverse those exactas).
2nd pick: #3 (Phola) - She's improving quickly at this point after being a very ordinary runner up to last fall. Daughter of "Johannesburg" should have three in a row (all stakes) going into this but broke slowly last out and just failed to catch today's rival "Proviso". Contender.
3rd pick: #1 (Proviso) - Has fine tactical speed and English-bred daughter of "Dansili" has two in a row giong into this including a win over males in the Grade 1 "Kilroe" at Santa Anita in early March. Has a solid shot.
