Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #4 (GIFT BOX) (8-5) - One of two entered by trainer Chad Brown and the two promising colts race as separate betting interests. This 3-year-old showed promise last year as a 2-year-old but was injured and was away from action for a half-year. He won his return race at Belmont May 26 and is training both steadily and above average for this attempt.

2nd pick: #1 (Connect) (2-1) - The second of the Brown trained runners, he's won both starts this year after coming of a five month layoff May 7. Stalker has early speed, draws the rail, and is working fast. Son of 'Curlin' has an excellent shot at winning the Curlin Stakes.

3rd pick: #3 (Ready Dancer) (10-1) - One of two from trainer Todd Pletcher and they race uncoupled. Son of 'More Than Ready' seems to thrive on being active and is making his 12th care start. Stretch runner is the only horse entered with a win at this demanding distance and he did so last out at Belmont (June 30). The faster the pace, the better his chances

4th pick: #6 (Majesto) (6-1) - On the sidelines since being way over-matched in the Kentucky Derby (G1), he's training above average and Jose Ortiz is aboard in his return. However, he's giving away a big recency edge to the top three selections. Believe a minor award is his ceiling.
