Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #1 (MARCONI) (2-1) - One of the most expensive yearlings ever sold, this 4yo by 'Tapit' sold for $2,000,000 back in Sept. of 2016. He tired in Belmont's G2 Suburban Handicap July 6, but had won three straight stakes at long distance prior to that. Stalker has a ground saving post, is from the Pletcher barn, and gets top billing.
2nd pick: #8 (Rocketry) (5-2) - He's another that can 'run all day', and 5yo also showed little in the same last race as 'Marconi'. Son of 'Hard Spun' had finished second to him in three straight prior to that and was only a 1/2 length behind that rival in the G2 Brooklyn Invitational June 8. An obvious contender.
3rd pick: #4 (Curlin Road) (10-1) - Veteran moves up in class after finishing second here going 9 furlongs in an 'off the turf' contest facing $50K claimers July 12. 6yo is capable of factoring at a big price.
4th pick: #2 (Royal Albert Hall) (30-1) - English import showed nothing here facing weaker July 18. Old timer has some races in the past and his even paced style and could see him round out the tri and or super at a huge price.
