Top pick: #6 (TURBULENT DESCENT) - High-class filly has only made one start since late Dec. and was a winner at Hollywood Park of a small stake on June 17th. She has a new trainer for this attempt (Todd Pletcher 30% with new arrivals) and 4-year-old is working fast locally. She was an impressive winner here last August of the (G1) Test and earned a 103 Byer figure that day racing at this 7-furlong trip. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #3 (It's Tricky) - As tough as they come, she's (12-8-3-0) overall and has banked $1.5M. Accomplished at all types of distances and her speed/stalking style is the way to go at this distance. Working fast for her first since winning the (G1) Ogden Phipps at Belmont May 28th and she and "Descent" are the only two entered who have won here in the past.
3rd pick: #5 (Nicole H) - Hard-hitter always brings her best and her her last two starts she's finished second, at Belmont June 2nd in the Vagrancy Hdcp. (G2) and in the (G1) Princess Rooney at Calder July 7th. This is her first local attempt, but mare had a sharp work on the Aug. 19.
