Top pick: #1 (MIDNIGHT TABOO) (2-1) - Lightly raced, well-bred, and in the Pletcher barn, colt has been freshened up since he was soundly beaten when ambitiously placed in the "Belmont Stakes" (G1). He'd been sharp in his first three starts, is working fast, has the rail, and is much the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #7 (Norumbega) (8-5) - The probable favorite, strong finisher broke his maiden here last August at this 1 1/8th mile distance ,and will be racing with lasix added after he "bled" last out at Belmont. Win candidate.
3rd pick: #5 (Tiz Adonis) (6-1) - Lightly raced colt has been competitive in all but one of his starts, and has a strong late kick. Runs second off almost a two month break, and don't believe we've seen the best of him yet.
4th pick: #4 (Cary Street) (4-1) - Speedy sort comes form Churchill in great form, and last out finished second there at this level and distance. He should be involved turning for home.
