Top pick: #4 (MR WILLIAM) (3-1) - Gelding was reclaimed last out by Lisa Lewis and she got him back for $15,000 less than she lost him for. He raced well two back at Belmont facing tougher, then ran poorly here on the dirt after "breaking through" the gate before the start. I like his chances.
nd pick: #5 (It's Huge) (10-1) - Longshot has the best early speed of this group and just missed at this tag on May 3rd at Belmont. He tired in his last pair and has been freshened up since June 22nd. Win candidate in a weak field.
rd pick: #1 (Powder Springs) (20-1) - He has some speed, breaks from the rail, and has taken money in all three starts. Freshened up since July 5th, trainer Juan Coronel removes his blinkers after a pair of starts.
th pick: #10 (Ride a Song) (6-1) - Lightly-raced gelding was only beaten two lengths at Belmont in his only previous grass race. Fits, is working fast, and can factor at a square price.
th pick: #11 (Dendrite) (4-1) - His grass record stands at 19-0-5-4, and can factor, but he draws a tough outside post and doesn't have any early speed. His best chance would be for a pace collapse.
