Top pick: #10 (ZIPTRONIC) (5-2) - Veteran has won two in a row, the latest coming here at this trip racing for a $40K tag on Aug. 10. It was his first off a Bruce Levine clam and the 9th time this speed/stalker has been to the winner's circle. In shape and Castellano is back on the re-ride.
nd pick: #9 (Pirate's Pleasure) (10-1) - Gelding by "Mizzen Mast" rallied to finish second here for a $40K tag Aug. 1 in his first off a Michelle Nevin claim. It was his first ever in a turf sprint and this strong finisher should get a fast and/or contested pace to rally into.
rd pick: #7 (Lets Go Ben) (8-1) - Lightly-raced 5-year-old set a fast pace and held gamely to finish third in the same Aug. 1 contest as "Pirate's Pleasure." Only a "neck" behind that rival and it was his first start since May 22nd and first ever on the grass.
th pick: #3 (Cap'n Raymond) (20-1) - Longshot moves up in class after defeating weaker here at this distance Aug. 15. It was his third win in a turf sprint and came off almost a seven week freshening. Has a shot at a very big price.
th pick: #6 (Casa Creek) (3-1) - Another that's lightly raced, he just missed here at this level and distance on Aug. 7. It was his first back from a two month break and it's nice to see him come back without another short layoff.
