Top pick: #5 (I DREAMT I WAS) - Believe her latest was just a prep as she wasn't asked to do mich in her first back of a 5 1/2 month layoff. Flying Zee home-bred wasn't beaten much and is turned around quickly for this (21 days). Johnny V. stays put and she's the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #2 (New York Kitten) - Filly had a very troubled outing here August 1 yet finished sixth of 11, and was only beaten a length. Win threat today.
3rd pick: #1 (Notell) - Lightly-raced daughter of "Quiet American" gets both blinkers on and a big rider up-grade to Javier Castellano. Has the inside draw and a very nice recent work. Win candidate.
4th pick: #9 (Considerate) - The field's most experienced runner has a big race over the track and did so from an outside post (which she has again today). Very fast work since means she's a win threat if she can avoid a wide trip.
