Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #3 (SANDRA'S MINE) (5-1) - She's racing third back following a 7.5-month layoff and is stretching back out in distance. A daughter of 'Mineshaft,' she's raced evenly in her pair of return sprints and has finished 2nd in both previous attempts at this mile trip. Each of those came facing tougher, and I like her chances in this spot.
nd pick: #8 (Women Not Easy) (7-2) - She finished a pace-setting 2nd at this level and distance at Belmont June 11. It was her first since March 13 and her first ever on the grass. In her follow up there July 11, she had traffic issues when beaten by five lengths. A strong win candidate.
rd pick: #5 (Eighty Seven North) (12-1) - Even paced type finished 4th here at this level July 25 and has now been competitive in all three local attempts. This longshot is dangerous at a very big price.
th pick: #1 (Big Al's Gal) (8-1) - Lightly raced filly switches back to the grass while stretching out in distance. She finished 2nd here in a dirt sprint on July 29, has the rail, early speed, and Joel Rosario stays aboard.
th pick: #6 (Go Zappem) (15-1) - A lightly raced 5yo mare, she tired badly while wide here July 25. Competitive earlier in her career facing tougher, she worked above average Aug. 9 and may get a share at a big price.
