Top pick: #7 (JAMAALAREE) (7-2) - Daughter of 'Congaree' is cutting back just a bit in distance after rallying while wide to finish 2nd at this level going 6-furlongs at Belmont July 18. Barn (veteran Jimmy Toner) excels with turf runners, and he has this filly sitting on her maiden score.
2nd pick: #3 (Cosmic Tale) (9-2) - The main speed of those that have run, grey filly is racing third off a seven-month layoff. She's been much improved since returning and is the speed nearest the rail. Very much a threat to take this group from gate-to-wire.
3rd pick: #4 (Splendid Gold) (6-1) - Another with a bit of speed, filly by 'Mineshaft' raced evenly last out following a poor start. She was almost four back of 'Jamaalaree' that day, but had a legitimate excuse. Blinkers go on, and this 3yo is a win candidate with an alert getaway.
4th pick: #5 (Aussie Prayer) (7-2) - Consistent sort enters off a pair of solid efforts at this level at Belmont. Speed/stalker fits, is in shape, and home bred must be left in the mix.
