Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #7 (WONDERMENT) (6-1) - Longshot has been freshened up since a sharp win at Belmont going six furlongs on a sloppy surface in the $100K Dancin Renee Stakes at Belmont June 17. Stretch runner draws a nice post for her style at this trip and should receive a fast and/or contested pace to rally into. Has a shot at a square price in a wide open race.
2nd pick: #6 (Court Dancer) (5-1) - Trainer Jay Servis is having his second strong year at 69-of-241 (29%) and he's 7-for-17 (41%) at this highly competitive meet. This veteran mare ships from Monmouth where she finished second in the six furlong Regret Stakes July 16 facing 'open' company. Speed/stalker has won twice here in the past and is another would a good chance at healthy odds.
3rd pick: #3 (Absatootly) (15-1) - The main speed, she has a fine overall record and is 12-3-4-2 in dirt sprints. Working fine at the Spa, her trainer (Charlie Baker) is 5 for 17 (29%) so far at the meet.
4th pick: #5 (Clipthecouponannie) (5-1) - Daughter of 'Uncle Mo' has been freshened up since tiring to finish almost eight lengths in back of 'Wonderment' June 17 at Belmont. She had won five of her previous six starts, is working nicely, and is from the Pletcher barn. Look for a positive rebound effort today.
