Top pick: #7 (SO YOU SAY) (6-1) - Filly is one of two entered by trainer Michelle Nevin and the pair race uncoupled. Since coming off a six month layoff in mid-April, she's gone 3-2-1-0. Well bred 3-year-old looked great when winning an entry-level allowance at Belmont June 17 and is training nicely for her return. This is a huge step up, but believe she has a strong shot at a big price.
2nd pick: #3 (By the Moon) (8-1) - The second of the Nevin runners, she's training fast locally for her first since June 6. A G1 winner as a 2-year-old, she missed by a 'neck' last out at Belmont going a mile in the Acorn Stakes (G1). Win candidate.
3rd pick: #2 (Cavorting) (3-1) - Lightly-raced and speedy, she's won three of her five starts and in her two defeats she tired badly. $360K daughter of 'Bernardini' won a 6-furlong stakes at Belmont June 5 which earned her the highest figure on any entered in this G1 contest.
4th pick: #8 (Angela Renee) (6-1) - Pletcher-trained filly seems best going longer. However, she ran well here as a 2-year-old and is working fast locally for her first since June 14. Stretch factor if the pace is fast and/or contested.
