Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #4 (BARRY LEE) (4-1) - He's one of seven of nine entered who won their last start. Colt sold for $380,000 as a 2-year-old in training this past March at Ocala. He was a very sharp winner in fast time when debuting at Laurel going five furlongs July 14. He worked fast there Aug. 5 before heading to Saratoga and his trainer (Horacio DePaz) is having a tremendous year at 20-of-67 (30%) overall. He's won twice already at this tough meet and he has leading rider Jose Ortiz aboard. Gets a slight edge in a wide open affair.
2nd pick: #9 (Copper Bullet) (5-2) - The morning line favorite, he's gone 3-1-2-0 so far and last out finished second in a G3 stakes at Churchill Downs June 30. Working fast locally, he has a good post for the trip and Irad Ortiz Jr. is signed on.
3rd pick: #8 (Diamond Oops) (7-2) - Undefeated (two-for-two) he's the field's only stakes winner. Both races came at Gulfstream where he won the $100,000 Kissing Native Stakes going 5.5 furlongs July 1. Working very fast since, he earned the highest Byer figure any has achieved so far that afternoon.
4th pick: #2 (Mo Diddley) (8-1) - Son of 'Uncle Mo' cost $450K a year ago and gutted out a debut win at Churchill Downs when debuting May 18. Working very fast at Saratoga, trainer Mark Casse has Javier Castellano aboard.
