She draws a ground saving post, and there's plenty of speed signed on to make her late charge effective. 5yo gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #9 (Literata) (4-1) - One of two entered by trainer Rudy Rodriguez, and the pair race uncoupled. Veteran moves up in class following a 2nd place finish here at this distance Aug. 5th. Stalker retains Irad Ortiz, Jr. and is a strong factor in this spot.
3rd pick: #10 (Jules N Rome) (5-1) - The second of the Rodriguez pair, speedy filly is racing first off a claim. That's a strong 29% winning move by the barn, and I believe it was made with this stakes in mind. The distance is not a problem, and she has races in her past that would win this if repeatable. Javier Castellano's presence is noted.
4th pick: #6 (Isabella) (10-1) - From the same barn (Bill Mott) as 'Flipcup,' her form has gone sour since returning from a series of layoffs in late May. Her works heading into this are encouraging, and former stakes winner is a threat with her 'A' game.
