Top pick: #4 (CANDY KITTY) (7-2) - Daughter of "Lemon Drop Kid" was an impressive wire-to-wire winner here at this distance to break her maiden 10 days ago. The Pletcher barn brings her back on short notice and she gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #6 (La Reine Bourbon) (3-1) - She rallied from far back to win going away when debuting on this course, at this trip Aug. 4. She's worked twice since, including a near bullet half-mile breeze on the grass five days ago. One of two entered by trainer Chad Brown and the pair race uncoupled.
3rd pick: #7 (Miss Frost) (5-1) - Lasix is added to daughter of "Curlin" after she showed a lot of grit when holding on to break her maiden here at this distance July 28th. She's worked twice since and showed dramatic improvement that day when switched to the grass.
4th pick: #1 (Granny Mc'sKitten) (5-2) - The second of the Chad Brown fillies, she was away slowly but closed with a furious late rush to miss by a nose when debuting here on July 29th. Ramsey home-bred was only a nose back of "Miss Frost" and must be left in the mix.
