Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #1 (TIME AND MOTION) (3-1) - Hard hitting daughter of 'Tapit' rallied strongly to miss by a 1/2 length to today's rival 'Catch a Glimpse' in the $1,000,000 Belmont Oaks Invitational (G1) July 9. It was her first loss this year after winning thre ina row. Working well locally, she draws a ground-saving post and has a solid shot at posting a mild upset.
2nd pick: #2 (Catch a Glimpse) (8-5) - Mare lost her debut here a year ago sprinting on the dirt, Moved to the turf in her second starts, daughter of 'City Zip' is a perfect eight for eight since moving to the grass. The last seven of those have been in stakes and she's banked $1.7M. Speedy filly is working fast and is an obvious win candidate at a short price. I could have just as easily have made her the top selection.
3rd pick: #5 (Elysea's World) (4-1) - One of two entered by leading trainer Chad Brown and the pair race uncoupled. This Irish bred is lightly raced and last out she rallied to finish second here going a bit shorter in the G2 Lake George Stakes July 22. Improving and she has plenty of room for upside.
4th pick: #4 (Priced to Perfection) (10-1) - The second of the Brown trained fillies, she has no early speed but always makes a late run. She finished fourth last out at Belmont while behind both 'Time and Motion' and 'Catch a Glimpse.' Her best chance would be if the pace was fast and/or contested.
