Top pick: #1 (LA CLOCHE) - She's returned from almost a 10-month layoff in excellent shape, finishing second at Belmont in her return May 28th, then was an impressive winner of the $90K Voodoo Dancer at the same track on July 8th. Working fine since, she's won here in the past, draws the rail, and is 2-for-3 at this distance.
2nd pick: #10 (Dealbata) - Irish-bred filly went (5-3-1-0) racing in France and was a sharp-looking winner at Belmont in the $90K Mohegan Sky stakes on June 16th. Race was her first in almost seven months and first in North America. Very dangerous rival.
3rd pick: #2 (Wallis) - English-bred mare finished a distant second last out to "Cloche" in a good effort. Stretches around two-turns and that produced a stakes win last Nov. at Aqueduct.
4th pick: #3 (Fontley) - Longshot raced evenly in the same Belmont stake as both "Cloche" and "Wallis" but had won her previous start facing weaker. Mare kept good company in her native England and could impact at a big price.
