Top pick: #5 (TABREED) (4-1) - One of two European imports entered by trainer Chris Clement and the pair race uncoupled. This English-bred filly was a sharp winner at Monmouth on June 29th and the second finishier won here last week. Lightly raced, still improving, and is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #1 (Mariel N Kathy) (6-1) - Clearly the main speed, 3-year-old has the inside post and last out at Belmont she lost by a head when racing at this distance in the $90K "Bit o Whimsy" stakes. Very dangerous on the front end.
3rd pick: #3 (Viva Rafaela) (5-2) - Interesting Brazilian-import finds herself in the Pletcher barn and is training very fast for her first since early Nov. Lasix is added and "Johnny V" is aboard.
4th pick: #2 (Orion Moon) (2-1) - The second of the Clement pair, she won her North American debut at Belmont on June 22nd and it was her first since early Dec. Can factor again today, but this field is much tougher.
