He's switching back to the grass and his lone win came on the Santa Anita turf facing 'open' maiden special weight company in early Feb. In shape, working well locally, and he gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #1 (Jax Heritage) (6-1) - One run type rallied to finish 2nd at this level going a mile on the Belmont grass July 5. Much improved of late and he draws a fine ground saving post. Stretch threat.
3rd pick: #3 (All Over Me) (12-1) - Longshot ships in from Monmouth and moves up in class. He's won both starts there on the grass since coming off a 5-month break in late May. He fits on both 'figures' & style and is a contender at a big price.
4th pick: #10 (Birchwood Road) (8-1) - Stalker stretches back out in distance after a pair of good efforts going 7-furlongs at Belmont. He's been competitive at this trip in the past and should be again this afternoon.
5th pick: #9 (Oklahoma Den) (3-1) - No speed type ships up from Gulfstream where he been competitive in 4 of his last 5 facing 'open' company. In shape, the distance is fine, and he would love a fast/and or contested pace to develop.
