Top pick: #2 (TIZ YANKEE) - The probable favorite, son of "Tiznow" has finished second in six of his eight starts and last out was run down late by the high-priced "Desert Storm" to miss by a length. 3-year-old was almost 12 clear of the third horse and he's been in training locally since late April. Speed/stalker is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #3 (Invocation) - $250K son of "Pulpit" raced well here last year as a 2-year-old and in early November finished second at Aqueduct at this demanding 9-furlong trip. Last out at Belmont he rallied to finish second at Belmont going 7 furlongs and that was his first in six months. Stretches-out and is a win candidate.
3rd pick: #1a (Drill Sergeant) - He's part of an entry due to common ownership. $300K son of "Awesome Again" has rallied from far back to finish second in both his starts and is working well at Monmouth for this attempt.
