Top pick: #4 (VINEYARD HAVEN) - Probable heavy favorite has win two grade 1 stakes on this surface the Hopeful in '08 and the King's Bishop last year. Working fast for his first since finishing third in the Cigar Mile (G1) at Aqueduct last November and he's the horse to beat if ready.
2nd pick: #7 (Le Grand Cru ) - Hard-hitter surprised at big odds when winning the "Westchester"(G3) this spring at Belmont but he's always had talent and makes his first start for Todd Pletcher off a recent trainer switch. Has a flexible style and has a shot if the top pick isn't 100% off the layoff.
3rd pick: #2 (Cool Coal Man) - Hard-hitter appears to have reached his peak following several short layoffs and his speed/stalking ability gives him a shot in his present form. He shortens-up a bit after a two-turn win at Monmouth last out and has a nice local drill on July 15. Contender.
