2nd pick: #3 (Apex) (6-1) - Beautifully-bred 3yo has finished second in all three races on conventional dirt, and each has been at this seven furlong distance. Gelding by "Dynaformer" is working fine for his first in 100 days, and stalker is a win threat.
3rd pick: #5 (Celebrated Talent) (12-1) - Longshot showed good speed while finishing evenly at Belmont on June 15th in his first since last October in England. Darley owned son of "Bernardini" cost $500,000, and is training nicely for this attempt, his first with lasix.
4th pick: #7 (Charlie's Picnic) (5-1) - Son of "Indian Charlie" cost $300K and rallied to finish second last out at Belmont going six furlongs. Lightly raced, improving, and he should like the added furlong he travels today.
5th pick: #6 (Panama Will) (8-1) - Speed/stalker ships from Churchill where he finished second at this level going 6.5 furlongs on June 22nd. Working very fast since, and he must be left in the mix.
