Cold finished a close up fourth here in the G1 H. Allen Jerkens stakes last August and can win this if ready. I would advise to reverse your exactas with him as he may not be at 100% off the long absence.
2nd pick: #6 (He Hate Me) (12-1) - A lightly raced shipper, he rallied to miss by a 'head' going 6.5 furlongs June 15 at Churchill Downs at this level. Longshot has worked very fast here since arriving and it's noted that veteran Stanley Hough has Luis Saez aboard.
3rd pick: #5 (Speightsford) (8-1) - Another longshot, this 5yo by 'Speightstown' ships up from Monmouth where hewas a 6 length winner at this distance facing much weaker June 8. By far a career best, he completed the distance in a snappy 1:09.80 and he's worked fast twice since.
4th pick: #4 (Honorable Treasure) (10-1) - He rallied to defeat weaker going 7 furlongs at Churchill Downs June 27. It was his first since coming back from Meydan in the U.A.E. Feb. 21 and he's won two of three here in the past.
