Top pick: #8 (MASTER WESLEY) (5-1) - Monmouth shipper rallied to just miss there on July 6th in an entry-level allowance in his second off almost an eight week break. Colt has more tactical speed than most and a good barn (Dale Romans) has him nicely spotted with castellano aboard.
2nd pick: #6 (Royal Blessing) (4-1) - He's won 3-of-6 on the grass and finished a close up fourth here on July 19th. Well-bred, in career best form, and a win candidate.
3rd pick: #10 (Kathy's Kitten) (6-1) - Penn National invader has been razor sharp this year (4-3-1-0) since returning from a five month layoff in late April and joining the barn of Hugh McMahon. Stalker fits and jockey A.R. Rodriguez comes in from Pennsylvania for the mount.
4th pick: #5 (Now and Then) (7-2) - Darley runner has excellent early speed and is training well locally for his first since late June. This will be his first on the grass, but most by "Tiznow" enjoy the surface.
5th pick: #9 (Lead Singer) (12-1) - Grey son of "Unbridled's Song" has some talent and raced evenly here on July 27th in his first race since May 31st. Working fine since and a threat with his best.
