2nd pick: #7 (Laura's Patriot) (12-1) - Stretch out sprinter has been competitive in two of three grass sprints. Freshened up since July 1, trainer Gary Gullo has her back in with fellow New York breds and is stretching her out in distance for the first time.
3rd pick: #8 (Missy Bay) (15-1) - The field's only multiple winner, this filly by 'Posse' has been to the winner's circle three times. Stalker is racing off a pair of layoffs, had a sharp work Aug. 10th, and Castellano is aboard for the first time.
4th pick: #10 (Magical Miss) (6-1) - Lightly raced and speedy, she broke her maiden in gate-to-wire style on the Belmont turf May 17. It was a career best and her first ever on the grass. She had some traffic issues there July 1 in her first facing winners and has been freshened up since.
5th pick: #2 (C d'Cat) (9-2) - 4yo has been sharp in both starts going shorter. Fits with her best if she can handle the added yardage of this contest.
