Old timer worked a bullet three furlongs here Aug. 6th, an unusual move for a 7yo gelding.
2nd pick: #6 (Ocean Knight) (2-1) - Very lightly raced, he hasn't run since finishing 3rd last Nov. at Aqueduct going nine furlongs in the slop in the G3 Discovery Handicap. Son of 'Curlin' just missed here last summer in a sprint facing similar and is working fast for his return.
3rd pick: #2 (Juba) (5-1) - He's listed as a grey, but he's almost pure white according to my eyes. Easy to spot, speedball is working way above average for his first since June 15. Capable of putting up a big 'figure' when in the mood, he's at a comfortable level, and at his favorite distance (6-2-1-2).
4th pick: #3 (Schivarelli) (6-1) - No doubt he has talent, and this stretch runner should get a favorable pace set up to close into. He's racing third back off a 10-month layoff and showed a big step forward in his latest.
