Top pick: #4 (UNCLE SIGH) (6-5) - He was very promising early in 2014, but was injured in the Kentucky Derby and was sent in for a long layoff (16 1/2 months) at that time. He ran 2nd here at this level and distance in his return Aug. 16th and should move forward enough to win this.
2nd pick: #5 (Colorado Grandslam) (9-2) - Consistent sort has finished 3rd in three straight at this level. Speed/stalker pressed a quick pace and tired to finish 3rd last out and was two lengths behind 'Uncle Sigh.' He should be involved from start-to-finish.
3rd pick: #7 (Whale Rock) (10-1) - Very lightly raced, he's been freshened up since July 12. Well bred colt is training fast for his return and can factor at a square price with his best.
4th pick: #8 (Tiz Time to Shine) (6-1) - Son of 'Tiznow' is cutting back in distance after a poor effort here going 1 1/8th miles at this level Aug. 10th. He's worked twice since and is making back-to-back starts for the first time since last summer.
