Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #3 (SWEET SNEAK) (5-1) - Price play raced evenly here after a troubled break and rough trip sprinting on the dirt at this level Aug. 8. It was her first start in 10 months and she's moving to the grass while stretching out in distance. $360K daughter of 'Candy Ride' was in with some good field last fall on the grass, facing 'open' company in Kentucky. And she enters off a fine half-mile breeze on the training track grass course Aug. 28.
2nd pick: #10 (Chocolate Cookie) (3-1) - She was bet down to a 5-2 favorite debuting here at this level going a mile Aug. 13, but she broke poorly and then was bumped heavily turning for home. Trainer Todd Pletcher wins at a 23% rate second time out, and leading rider Irad Ortiz, Jr. stays aboard. A win candidate.
3rd pick: #9 (Dancing Kiki) (7-2) - Even-paced filly hasn't finished worse than 4th in seven straight attempts at this level. She rallied to check in 2nd here going a mile Aug. 13, and was 3.5 lengths better than a troubled 'Chocolate Cookie'. A 3yo filly by 'Blame,' she should factor with her normal effort.
4th pick: #8 (Madison Parc) (4-1) - Blinkers go on this $420,000 daughter of 'Curlin' who finished 6th of 11, missing by just over four lengths here at this level and distance on July 22. The 2-1 favorite that afternoon, she moves off the rail, has worked four times since, and must be left in the mix.
