Top pick: #1 (STYLE DRIFT) (3-1) - She'sa one of two entered by trainer Chad Brown and the pair race uncoupled. Daughter of grass start 'English Channel' missed by a 1/2 length when debuting at this level and distance at Belmont Park June 20. Freshened up for almost 6-weeks, filly has the rail and can take this with a clean trip.
nd pick: #3 (Broken Border) (12-1) - Longshot finished an even 4th at Belmont July 5 racing at this level going 8.5-furlongs. She finished 2nd at Gulfstream facing 'open' company March 11, but has yet to repeat the 'figure' earned that day. A major factor at a big price if she does so this afternoon.
rd pick: #4 (Donnatienne) (5-1) - 4yo rallied to miss by a 'neck' when debuting here at this level and trip a year ago. Unraced since, she obviously has some issues, but a repeat of that initial effort makes her a threat.
th pick: #8 (Fourstar Crook) (5-1) - The 2nd of the Chad Brown fillies, she's been on the sidelines since Nov 16. $110K daughter of 'Freud' rallied to finish 2nd that day and has been in steady training here since early June. Stretch threat if ready.
th pick: #10 (First Charmer) (10-1) - From the hottest barn on the grounds (Bill Mott) she hasn't raced since finishing 4th here last August 27. Filly showed early speed in both starts back then and was bred to be a good horse ('Smart Strike').
