Top pick: #11 (CRACKERJACK JONES) (5-2) - Lightly raced Broman home-bred was an easy maiden winner last out at Belmont on June 26th, and has since come back with a pair of fast works. Gelding by "Smarty Jones" tries winners for the first time, and believe he has a bright future.
nd pick: #13 (Captain Davrick) (5-1) - Another lightly raced gelding, he's been freshened up since his maiden win at Belmont on June 6th. 4yo had finished second in his previous pair facing "open" company in Kentucky, and ships back from Churchill where he's been training sharply for this attempt.
rd pick: #6 (Luxury Appeal) (20-1) - Longshot was stakes placed twice in the fall of 2010, but was injured at that time and did not race again for 27 months. He moves up off a win at Belmont facing cheaper on June 12th, and seems headed back in the right direction.
th pick: #8 (Soul House) (4-1) - Son of "Limehouse' won his debut here last July, but did not race again until May 4th. Colt has raced evenly in his first pair back, and last out finished fourth of seven, beaten five lengths in the $125K "Mike Lee" at Belmont. Factors today.
th pick: #2 (Kid Blast) (12-1) - He's gone 4-2-1-0 overall, and runs for the first time since Feb. 16. Son of "Posse" has speed/stalking ability, is working fast, and trainer Bruce Levine adds blinkers for this assignment. Don't just dismiss.
