Top pick: #7 (MR O'LEARY) (7-2) - Colt is one of two entered by trainer Chris Clement and the pair race uncoupled. Son of "Tale of the Cat" has been freshened up for three months after finishing 3rd when debuting on the Belmont dirt at this level. Working fine, he's bred for the turf and gets a slight edge.
nd pick: #10 (Pacific Theatre) (10-1) - The second of the Clement pair, he rallied while very wide to check in 4th of 10, beaten just over 4 lengths racing here at this level and distance on July 22nd. $435,000 son of "War Front" moves out in the gate and that's to his advantage.
rd pick: #6 (Mongol Boss) (5-1) - Gelding has been sharp in both grass sprints and last out finished third here after chasing a fast pace while wide. His early speed should have him involved from start-to-finish.
th pick: #4 (Kingston Bay) (5-2) - Thye probable favorite, Darley home-bred rallied to just miss when debuting here on July 22nd. Working nicely since, he defeated both "Theatre" and "Boss" that afternoon and has worked fine since. Must be left in the mix, though at a very short price.
th pick: #3 (Bocelli) (12-1) - Four-year-old son of "Mr. Greeley" has a bit of speed and runs first off a 100 day break. May hold on for a minor award, but he's not a win candidate.
