2nd pick: #9 (Joy Seeker) (2-1) - Lightly raced filly was a sharp gate-to-wire maiden winner here at this distance on July 1st. Race was her first in 6 1/2 months, first on the turf, and by far a career best. She may have a very bright future, and I almost made her the top pick.
3rd pick: #4 (A Pretty Dixie) (10-1) - Price play stretches out after finishing close up here in a turf sprint at this level on Aug. 3. Race was her first off a seven week freshening, and daughter of "Dixie Union" has worked fine since. Longshot can factor against this crew.
4th pick: #3 (Invading Humor) (5-1) - This will be her first try around two-turns, and daughter of "Breeder's Cup Classic" winner "Invasor" is bred to enjoy the added real estate. She has ability and has been working nicely for her third back off a pair of layoffs.
5th pick: #2 (Flirtatious Spring) (12-1) - Mare raced very wide and evenly after breaking from a tough outside post here on July 20th. She's run well several times at this level in the past, and can factor today at a big price from a better starting slot.
