Top pick: #7 (DYKER BEACH) (8-5) - The probable favorite. Since early May, this gelding has gone 4-1-3-0, and last out was beaten a "neck" here at this level and distance on a sloppy surface. Stalker draws a nice outside post and is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #6 (D J Manlove) (6-1) - California shipper hasn't raced since Dec. 20 when he missed by a "neck" on the Hollywood "poly." Claimed that day by Bruce Levine, he's been working well, and new barn wins at a 20% rate first off the claim. Speedy, lightly raced, and a win candidate if ready.
3rd pick: #5 (Tony B) (4-1) - Colt was an impressive maiden winner here at this distance July 21. By far a career best, and this $500k 2yo purchase has been working well since. Improving and a threat right back.
4th pick: #3 (Brendan G) (8-1) - He enters off an even effort at this trip on the Belmont lawn July 10. It was his second off a two month break and first off a Gary Gullo claim. Can factor today at a square price.
